JERUSALEM, Israel – On Wednesday, Israeli authorities seized an unusual variety of contraband at the Erez Crossing before it could be smuggled to Hamas and other terror groups in the Gaza Strip. Two days earlier, Hamas began its annual summer camp program for kids from elementary through high school who'll be taught how to fight the "Zionist occupiers."

Meanwhile, a partial list of confiscated contraband included security cameras, UAVs, UAV components, model airplanes, binoculars, laser pointers for weapons, communication equipment, electronic boards, tasers, weapons components, diving watches with flashlights, flippers, miniature cameras, GoPro cameras, DVR cameras, banned electron components, satellite communications equipment, surveillance cameras, telephone switchboards,  and WiFi equipment.

Ministry of Defense Crossing Authority officials, working with the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency), have thwarted many smuggling attempts.

The latest discovery is evidence of the significant pressure the Shin Bet, COGAT, Tax Authority, Israeli Police and the Ministry of Defense Crossings Authority are imposing on smugglers and terrorist operatives, the press release stated.

Israeli authorities launched an investigation to track down the people involved.
