JERUSALEM, Israel -- Two Palestinians attempted to ram Israelis at a bus stop on Friday afternoon shortly after another terrorist attempted to stab Israeli border policemen at the Damascus gate of Jerusalem's Old City.

Three Israelis were injured in the ramming attack, which took place outside the Jewish community of Kiryat Arba near Hebron.

Soldiers at the scene opened fire, killing one terrorist and wounding another. A knife was found in the car, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement.

The wounded terrorist was evacuated to a Jerusalem hospital for treatment, along with the injured Israelis.

In Jerusalem, a man from Jordan in his 20s, carrying three knives, attempted to stab border police officers, police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said. He was shot and killed. There were no injuries among the officers. It's not clear yet if the assailant was a Palestinian living in Jordan.
