With voting day just two weeks away, almost half of American voters say this year's presidential election is causing them stress, according to an ABC News poll released Tuesday.

The poll found that 46 percent of all likely voters complain that the election is stressing them out. Both Democrats and Republicans are equally stressed out, with about a quarter of voters in each party saying the stress is serious.

The survey also found that the stress is affecting more women than men, 51 percent to only 39 percent.

Election stress was particularly high among liberal Democrats (57 percent) and evangelical white Protestants (56 percent), according to the survey.

A poll by the American Psychological Association also found 52 percent of Americans say they're stressed over the election. Fifty-five percent in a Pew poll went as far as to say they're disgusted.

The ABC News poll surveyed 1,155 likely voters between Oct. 20-23.
