The floods nearly destroyed Kathy Alello's home, and her long bout with pancreatic cancer left her too weak to salvage what was left. Operation Blessing teams stepped in to help, and Kathy gives all the glory to God.

"God is right there with you. And he will help you out of your situation. And its only material things," she said.

Operation Blessing teams have come in from all over the to show God's love in the devastation. Another family Operation Blessing has helped is Stephen and Diane Grantham.

Their home was flooded with almost 6 feet of water, destroying nearly all the wooden floors. Volunteers worked tirelessly, ripping out flooring and tearing out the sheet rock down to the studs.

Even though it was hard for them to watch their home being destroyed, the Grantham's are thankful to God for being sufficient throughout their struggles.

"If we don't have anything else, we have his salvation. And he is sufficient," Stephen Grantham said. "The eternal things are what's important. And he's the one who lifts us up."

Operation Blessing teams are continuing to keep an eternal perspective as they help to rebuild homes and lives. They have prayed with people and have seen healing and salvation.

Operation Blessing is still accepting volunteers to help people recover from this huge natural disaster.
