Whistleblower says Planned Parenthood Not Concerned About Underage Sex Trafficking

A former manager of a Planned Parenthood clinic says although America's largest abortion provider publicly promised to train its staff how to spot and report underage sex trafficking, in reality, they only trained staffers how to detect undercover journalists.

In a shocking, just-released video Ramona Trevino, a former Planned Parenthood clinic manager, said she learned the organization doesn't care about the sex trafficking of minors, but is very concerned about outsiders discovering what's really going on there.  "At that moment, my heart sank," she said, adding that she quit a short time later. "That experience for me left me so disgusted that I couldn't see how Planned Parenthood could ever redeem themselves after that."

Trevino made the comments during an interview with Lila Rose, founder of Live Action, who told CBN News "Planned Parenthood has a total lack of integrity that many folks have known about for years. Then spend hundreds of millions of dollars developing image to try to hide their abortion agenda as well as other abuses they commit."

In an infamous 2011 sting operation, Live Action  undercover journalists posed as pimps and prostitutes as young as 14 years old, seeking abortions and other services. A total of eight Planned Parenthood employees from seven different clinics were secretly videotaped aiding and abetting what they thought was the child sex trade.  

For example, the manager of a New Jersey Planned Parenthood clinic said since the young girl couldn't have sexual intercourse during the two weeks following her abortion, she suggested the youngster could still make money off her body, "Waist up," the Planned Parenthood worker said, "Waist up. Or just be that extra action walking by."  After the video was made public, that employee was fired. 

In response to the public outcry from the videos, Planned Parenthood announced they would train employees how to spot and report child traffickers.  Trevino was employeed with Planned Parenthood at the time and looked forward to the training session.  "When we were called into this meeting, I went in believing that Planned Parenthood could redeem themselves."  She continued, "They're going to prove that they really do care about women and this is something that really concerns them."

Trevino said she asked when the employees would learn "policies and procedures that would help protect women who are experiencing either sex trafficking or sexual abuse in any way." She said the teacher "shot me down," and said "We are here to teach you how to identify if you are being videotaped or recorded or entrapped."

Planned Parenthood was also the subject of a different undercover sting by the Center for Medical Progress in which undercover journalists captured Planned Parenthood employees discussing the sale of body parts from aborted babies.

In addition to promising to train its employees how to spot and report child sex offenders, shortly after the 2011 videos were released, Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards sent a letter to then-U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder claiming the organization would  "comply with applicable state laws relating to reporting of suspected instances of conduct that endangers the welfare of minors."

However Rose told CBN News, "Live Action was in seven facilities in four states where we did document Planned Parenthood employees cheerfully aiding and abetting child sex offenders, offering discounts for abortion and no recording, totally confidential."  She said, "There were no police reports in any of those areas that we could find through the Freedom of Information Act." 

Rose added Live Action discovered  Planned Parenthood did report underage sex offenses stemming from an Arizona clinic, she believes because of the attention her organization brought to the issue.
