Belgium Official: Muslims to Outnumber Practicing Christians 'Very Soon'

Christianity is on the decline in Europe, and something else is starting to take its place.

The justice minister of Belgium recently told a committee of the European Parliament that Muslims will outnumber practicing Christians in Europe "very soon."

He explained that it's not necessarily because of Muslim growth, but because there are generally fewer practicing Christians.

The country's deputy prime minister added, "The worst thing we can do is to make an enemy of Islam."

Critics are disputing the justice minister's claim.
