France is moving more than 6,000 migrants from "The Jungle," one of the largest refugee camps in the country.

The camp holds thousands of migrants who left their war-torn homes and are seeking to make it to Britain.  The majority at "The Jungle" comes from Afghanistan, Eritrea and Sudan.

The mass evacuation began on Monday.  Lines of migrants were making their way to reception centers in the French port city of Calais to apply for asylum.

The government vowed to demolish the area several times this year, which they will begin to do on Tuesday.

So far, 17 buses carrying more than 700 migrants have left Calais.  An additional 60 buses will be on standby Monday to transport more people.
