New Year, New Music, and the newsboys

Internationally renowned rock band, newsboys, has launched the explosive first single, “I Am Free,” from its upcoming Inpop Records debut. National radio networks K-Love and Air 1 immediately added this special live version out of the box. The single will go for official adds on January 20th.
The band added the up-tempo “I Am Free” to its live show last summer, and it quickly became a fan favorite. The song is a perfect mix of newsboys’ signature live rock style wrapped in a memorable worship melody that the crowd can sing along with.
newsboys frontman Peter Furler says, “Performing the song continues to be the highlight of our set. From the Sea of Galilee, to Marrakech, Morocco, in front of 15,000 Muslims, in an aircraft hangar in Scotland and here at home in America, the lyrics ring true no matter where we go.”
“‘I Am Free” is already a proven favorite with fans,” says Rob Poznanski, Inpop Records vice president, marketing/promotion. “The song has been resonating in churches for several months already, and newsboys’ rendition is relevant and timely as any. My prediction is that this song will rank up there with ‘It Is You’ and ‘He Reigns,’” concludes Poznanski.
