Face the Facts for
Faster Weight Loss
I’ve heard it a million times and yet I forget how important
it is – record everything you eat.
I never cease to be amazed at our capability for self-deception.
As I began this week, I started logging everything I eat in
a convenient online program. Each night, as I reach the limit
of my allotted calories, I realize that if I were not writing
it down I would add one or two things that probably would amount
to another 100 or 200 calories – a great way to slow my
weight loss.
With the accountability of this program that isn't happening
and the scales are moving again -- to my absolute delight.
Whether I’m at work, home or even the local YMCA, I’m
never more than a few steps from a computer connected to the
internet, so this online tracking program is perfect for me.
For many people a simple notebook would do the trick. In any
case, logging what I eat is not only keeping me accountable,
it is creating a record that I can take to my doctor or nutritionist
should my weight loss efforts stall again.
