Back in 1988 Mrs. Dobson was invited to the White House by former President Ronald Reagan for a Christian women's leadership conference.
That same year she became the recipient of the Second Annual Maggie Sloan Crawford Award, courtesy of Olivet Nazarene University.
And over ten years later, she received the Full-Time Homemaker of the Year award.
These days Mrs. Dobson serves as chairwoman of the National Day of Prayer Task Force.
She recently sat down with CBN News reporter Melissa Charbonneau to discuss why the 56th Annual National Day of Prayer is so important.
