CBNNews.com - First Lady Laura Bush is promoting the role of faith-based organizations in combating disease in Africa. She's touring the African continent with her daughter, Jenna.

Religious organizations provide 40-50 percent of health care in Africa.

Mrs. Bush says those groups know very well the healing power of faith.

CBN News will be traveling with the First Lady. She explained what Americans can do to help faith based groups help Africans.

"There is a way to reach out," she said. "For instance, putting these kits together for World Vision to deliver or going through with your Sunday school or other faith based groups to raise money for mosquito nets."

Be sure to watch for Melissa Charbonneau's full interview with First Lady Laura Bush, slated to air in a few weeks on the 700 Club.
