'Pregnant Man' Story Raises Concerns

CBNNews.com - Thomas Beatie, the so-called "pregnant man," received a lot of media attention this week
Beatie grew up as Tracy, but decided 10 years ago to have a sex change operation and legally become a man.
Still, Beatie kept her reproductive organs, and now "Thomas" has reported he's six months pregnant, thanks to a sperm donor.
Transgenderism, however, can have negative physical and emotional effects.
"We have wasted scientific and technical resources and damaged our professional credibility by collaborating with madness rather than trying to study, cure, and ultimately prevent it," said Dr. Paul McHugh from Johns Hopkins University.
Robert Knight of the Culture and Media Institute agrees there is more to these cases that blur gender barriers.
