It's getting harder for America's teenagers to find summer jobs.
The Washington Post reports the jobless rate for teens in June reached its highest point in six decades.
One conservative group says illegal immigrant workers are a big part of the problem, because they're willing to work for lower wages.
"Wherever they're from, it's not workIng out so they come here and try to get jobs. But, if you really thing about it...they're not giving anything. They're just taking away jobs from young people like us," one teen said.
Some legislators are now pushing Congress to pass a bill that would make employers verify that their employees are legal workers.
Roy Beck, executive director of Numbers USA, spoke with CBN News about the effect illegal workers are having on the work force.
