After the Compassion Forum ended at Saddleback Church Saturday night, I caught up with Kansas Senator Sam Brownback to get his thoughts on Sen. John McCain's performance.

He's had trouble connecting with Evangelical voters. I don't know, they haven't seen his heart or the core substance is there. But tonight he showed, I'll be a pro-life President, he showed his heart on what's happened to him in Vietnam and his beliefs, his adoption, he doesn't usually talk about that. I thought really if you were an Evangelical voter and you were watching tonight and you saw Barack Obama and John McCain side by side you're saying there's no comparison, John McCain's my man.
