Europe Furious Over Tookie

The European elite, which sides with convicted murderers over their victims when it comes to the right to life, is outraged over California's execution of Stanley Tookie Williams. Politicians in Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's native Austria have called for his name to be removed from a sports stadium in his hometown. A Christian political group went even further, suggesting the stadium be renamed the "Stanley Tookie Williams Stadium."

Great idea. The Austrians could give discounts to soccer fans that come to the match dressed in their gang colors. Tookie founded the notorious gang, the Crips. He also murdered four people and refused to admit it. The LA Times, which is no cheerleader for right-wing causes, lays out exactly why Williams was not granted clemency.

In Italy, the country's chapter of Amnesty International called the execution "a cold-blooded murder."

In France, Socialist Party spokesman Julien Dray to RTL radio, "I am proud to be a Frenchman. I am proud to live in France, in a country where we don't execute somebody 21 years later."

There are many reasons to be proud of France, but the French law enforcement system would not be one that I personally would choose. I was there last month to watch the cars burn and the politicians and media seemed more concerned with the welfare of the thugs who were burning the cars than with stopping them. It’s why our crime rate is falling and Europe’s is rising, and it’s why the cars in France WILL burn again. Watch this space.
