The number of home foreclosures is still on the rise throughout the country.
Experts say the trend will continue as more people become unemployed and fall behind on their mortgage payments.
A record number of homes, some 2.8 million, were threatened with foreclosure last year. That equals about one in 45 homes were sent default notices. That number was up 21 percent from 2008.
Nevada, Arizona, and Florida had the highest number of foreclosures last year. Other states with high foreclosure rates include California, Utah, Georgia, and Michigan.
