As a well-known financial advisor, Howard wrote the book to show people the power of saving money, no matter the situation.

Howard, who also hosts "The Clark Howard Show" on radio and television, has been called a "consumer champion" because his tips teach others how to not only get ahead financially, but also how to avoid rip-offs and scams, get the biggest bang for your buck, and understand the often complex world of economics. 

CBN News spoke with Clark Howard about his latest of nine books, and how Americans should be responding the the country's money problems.
