Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial kickoff of the summer vacation season, and the American Automobile Association predicts gas prices won't stop most people from hitting the road.
Nearly 35 million Americans are expected to travel for the upcoming holiday -- an increase since last year despite average gas prices being nearly $1 higher.
AAA said travelers will make up for the higher fuel costs by lowering their travel budgets by 14 percent.
About 3 million people are expected to travel by plane.
AAA spokesman Troy Green talked with CBN News about the travel predictions. Stay with CBNNews.com for his comments.
