Syrian Conflict Causing Gas Prices to Spike

The conflict in Syria is sending gas prices slightly up in the United States

As the price of crude oil has increased, national gas prices jumped nearly two cents on Thursday.

The AAA said that's the biggest daily jump in over a month, just as many are hitting the road for the Labor Day weekend.

Even so, gas prices are still about 27 cents cheaper than they were this time last year. The AAA estimates more than 29 million Americans will travel for the holiday.
