The unemployment rate for younger veterans is among the highest in the nation.
More than 20 percent of veterans between the ages of 18-24 are out of work and the numbers for those 25-34 are also in the double-digits.
That's higher than the numbers for non-vets in the same age range and far higher than the national average.
An official with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce said veterans must do a better job of explaining how skills gained in the military are useful in the workplace.
