Gas prices are falling across the nation. The average price per gallon fell about 6 cents in the last two weeks as crude oil prices declined.
Industry experts believe prices could keep falling, reaching below $3 per gallon for the first time in three years.
However, AAA spokesman Mark Jenkins said it's normal for gas prices to go down after the summer season. In a recent interview with NBC News he said prices could continue to fall "but it's unlikely."
Charleston, S.C., had the cheapest gas in the survey at $3.15 per gallon, while San Francisco had the highest at $4.01 per gallon.
