How Women Can Overcome Financial Obstacles

When it comes to finances, women tend to lag behind men.

They generally earn lower salaries, and are likely to take more time off from work to care for loved ones, which can affect their income.

According to the National Center for Women and Retirement Research, 9 out of 10 women will be solely responsible for their finances at some point in their lives.

A 2015 survey by Fidelity found that 92 percent of women want to learn more about financial planning and 83 percent want to be more involved in their finances, but the majority reported feeling uncomfortable talking talking about money.

CBN News Reporter Charlene Aaron recently spoke with money coach Bola Onada Sokunbi of Clever Girl Finance about why women are afraid to talk about money and what every woman should know about financial planning.
