Heat Wave Could Mean Global Warming

CBNNews.comWith temperatures around the nation quickly topping 100 degrees, questions of global warming are rising just as fast.

According to Natural Resources Defense Council expert Theo Spencer, the U.S. heat may be an indication of the hot phenomenon.

Spencer, a senior project manager at the council’s climate control section, said 18 of the hottest years on record in the U.S. have occurred in the past 20 years.

He also claimed in a recent interview that predictions by climate experts that overall temperatures would go up have come true, hinting that others may want to take heed to new observations.

Spencer’s research shows temperatures in the west are rising twice as fast compared to the rest of the country, also meaning bad news for the region’s national parks.  “[They are] facing the greatest threat they’ve ever faced,” he said.
