The space shuttle Discovery and its crew of seven are dropping off thousands of pounds of equipment at the International Space Station.
The equipment, which includes a treadmill, is for the other six astronauts already posted to the space station.
Discovery will remain in orbit for a week and the astronauts will perform three space walks.
One of those astronauts onboard the shuttle is Patrick Forrester. He carried into space with him a battery box from martyred missionary Nate Saint's plane.
"Bringing attention to and renewing interest in missions would be a great result of this experience," Forrester said.
Saint and four other missionaries were killed by a tribe of Waodani Indians in the jungles of Ecuador in 1956.
