President Obama is guaranteeing the expansion of embryonic stem cell research.

The Washington Times reported today that Obama made that promise in a closed-door meeting at the Democratic retreat.

President Obama said he will sign an executive order to overturn the Bush policy which restricted embryonic funding.

He is also expected to urge Congress to pass a law at the same time, so the next president will not be able to sign an order to over-ride it.
