Do you know if you have halitosis? Halitosis is the medical term for bad breath.
One doctor, who calls himself the bad breath guru, has come up with a way to diagnose it and he offers suggestions to fight it.
Dr. Harold Katz has created a halimeter, a machine that detects levels of volatile sulphur compounds. Those compounds form bacteria in the mouth, causing the odor.
Katz recommends drinking plenty of water to help cut back on bad breath. He also advises avoiding acids, which are found in drinks like coffee, orange juice and anything with sugar.
