The swine flu vaccine will arrive this Fall, when flu season hits.

A Swiss drug-making company is the first to produce a swine flu vaccine, but many other pharmaceutical companies are on its heels. 

The Novartis Company crossed the finish line first because they made their swine flu vaccine from cells. 

Most companies grow it in chicken eggs, which takes longer.

Either way, a whole host of drug makers are promising a swine flu vaccine by September. 

Thursday, the world health organization declared a swine flu pandemic which means a global outbreak is under way.
