In an effort to preserve the smiles of the nation's children, dentists are offering to buy back leftover Halloween candy.

Dentists who are part of the national Halloween Candy Buy Back program will pay you for your leftover candy.

Just take it in to a participating dentist's office. They'll weight it, and pay you $1 for every pound of candy.

And don't worry. The candy won't be thrown away. Instead, it will be shipped to U.S. soldiers serving overseas.
