The Centers for Disease Control warns that the H1N1 virus, commonly called the "swine flu," is active in states across the country.

Symptoms of the flu can include:

• fever (some with the flu will not have a fever)
• cough
• sore throat
• runny or stuffy nose
• body aches
• headache
• chills
