Nebraska late-term abortionist Leroy Carhart has fled his state to set up shop in Maryland.
Carhart abandoned his practice in Nebraska after the state passed a law banning abortions past 20 weeks.
Carhart will now preform third trimester abortions at Germantown Reproductive Health Services in Maryland.
Troy Newman, president of Operation Rescue, said this move places Maryland at a crossroads.
"We're planning to have a big presence there on Monday, the first day that he wants to do abortions, but that wont be it," Newman said.
"We've got to let the new batch of senators know that we are not going to sit idly by while children's lives are being threatened in the womb," he said.
Carhart also plans to open another late-term abortion clinic in Iowa.
