The 2008 film "Expelled" stirred controversy by exposing the scientific community's prejudice against those who question the theory of evolution.
Professor -- and now author -- Caroline Crocker appeared in the documentary.
She claimed her contract as a biology professor at George Mason University was not renewed after she challenged Darwinism and referred to intelligent design during one of her lectures.
After that, Crocker said she quickly realized it would be hard for her to find another teaching job. The experience is now the subject of her new book Free to Think: Why Scientific Integrity Matters.
Crocker spoke with CBN News about the book and being shunned by her colleagues for challenging students to open their minds on the issue of Darwinism and other scientific ideals.
