After the Labor Day holiday weekend, many children in the U.S. will be heading back to school. In China, a group of panda bears will be as well.
The so called Panda School opened Wednesday in a non-profit research and breeding facility at the Chengdu Panda Base in the south-western province of Sichuan. The pandas will play with scales and climb trees as a part of their every day curriculum.
The research facility has been rescuing pandas since 1987. There are only 1,600 pandas left in the wild.
