Tropical Storm Karl is moving across Mexico's Yucatan peninsula after making landfall Wednesday morning.
Karl is predicted to weaken as it goes over land, but if it's course turns back into the Gulf of Mexico, the National Hurricane Center said it could turn into a hurricane.
The storm could then be a threat to the central Mexican coast.
On the Atlantic side, Hurricanes Julia and Igor are both category-four hurricanes. Neither are a threat to the U.S., but Igor could hit Bermuda over the weekend.
