The European Space Agency is planning a mission to determine whether or not spacecraft can be used to redirect asteroids.
The London Daily Mail reports scientists are trying to figure out if they can change the path of an asteroid if it was heading towards Earth.
The mission is called "Don Quijote," and it will use two spacecrafts - one to fire at a test asteroid and the other to collect and analyze data.
The mission is expected to take place in four years.
