A DVD documentary meant to counter global warming claims and other environmental extremism will head to television starting this week.

"Resisting the Green Dragon" is a 12-part series now airing on the National Religious Broadcasters network, Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.

Various conservative Christian leaders united with the Cornwall Alliance to release the program.

"One of the greatest threats to society and the church today is the multifaceted environmentalist movement," Cornwall Alliance founder E. Calvin Beisner said in a statement after the series' initial release.

"There isn't an aspect of life that it doesn't seek to force into its own mold," he said.

Beisner said Monday that he's "delighted" the documentary can now reach millions of NRB viewers.

"We pray that God will use them to equip people around the world to defend the Christian faith, help the poor, and exercise godly stewardship over the Earth," he said.

The Cornwall Alliance is a network of religious leaders, scientists, and other experts who promote "environmental protection and restoration" from a biblical worldview.

Barrett Duke is vice president for public policy and research with the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission -- one of the groups that supports the "Resisting the Green Dragon" project.

He talks more about the program and its message. Stay with for his comments after 5 p.m. ET.
