Hurricane Rina Aiming for Cental America

Ad Feedback

Weather officials have issued a hurricane watch for Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula as Hurricane Rina swirls off Central America's Caribbean coast.

Rina, now a Category 2 storm, is packing winds of up to 100 miles per hour.

The U.S. National Hurricane Center said the storm is expected to continue to grow and could become a major hurricane by Wednesday.

One of the major concerns with Rina is the heavy rainfall it will bring to Central America, especially in areas like Honduras that are prone to mudslides.
