The 39th annual March for Life will be held in Washington, D.C., Monday, in protest of the anniversary of the Supreme Court ruling that legalized abortion.

Since the 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling, pro-lifers note that nearly 58 million babies have been aborted in America.

Many values voters hold the issue of abortion dear when choosing which candidate they will support.

Some see Monday's rally as a pivotal event for the fight against abortion, since it takes place during an election year.

House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, will deliver opening remarks at the March for Life, according to organizers.

A bipartisan showing of other lawmakers are also expected to speak.
