An estimated 226,000 women will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer this year and the American Cancer Society says about 40,000 will die of the disease.

Patients who undergo cancer treatments face not just physical difficulties, but emotional and spiritual challenges as well.

However, there is evidence that feeding the spirit can help heal the body.
