CBNNews.com - SDEROT, Israel - Eight-year-old Osher Twito, who lost his left leg in a Kassam rocket attack in Sderot two months ago, received an electric all terrain vehicle (ATV) from caring American Christians.
Hugs for Israel, an evangelical Christian group, wanted to do something special to encourage the eight year old to overcome the trauma of losing his leg.
An electric all-terrain vehicle seemed just the thing for now to help him get around town.
The group wanted him to feel strong and show that he's getting on with his life, despite the challenges that lie ahead, Brenda Giles told YNet news.
Giles, founding director of Jerusalem-based Hugs for Israel and Hugs International, divides her time between Israel and the US.
Osher's dad said his youngest son is thrilled with the ATV.
"Brenda surprised him with this gift," he said. In the two months following the attack, she's brought him presents and sweet treats and become part of the family, said his dad.
"Brenda has been accompanying us for awhile now," he said. "We love her very much and thank her and the members of her community who help us every time," he said.
"I will be glad to have her with us during our holidays. It's good that they help victims with all kinds of things," he said.
