CBNNews.com - TEHERAN - Iranians celebrated the two-year anniversary of the Second Lebanon War Tuesday evening in Teheran.
According to Iran's state-run FARS news agency, hundreds of joyful celebrants gathered in Palestine Square to mark the anniversary of the war between Iranian-funded Hezbollah fighters in Lebanon and Israel.
Hezbollah spiritual leader Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah and recently freed Lebanese terrorist Samir Kuntar addressed the rally via satellite on Iran's al-Alam network.
Mohammad Hassan Rahmanian, representing Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, told the crowd that "the only way for the nations in Palestine and Lebanon is opposing the arrogance [the US and Israel]."
"If we go in Allah's path, we will definitely be victorious," he said.
FARS stated that 500 to 600 Iranians gathered for the celebration, which was co-sponsored by the Shahid (martyrs) Foundation, the Iranian broadcasting network, the Teheran municipality and the Revolutionary Guards.
