CBNNews.com - Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers manning the Hawara checkpoint south of Nablus (biblical Shechem) detained a 16-year-old Palestinian carrying pipe bombs.
Security forces took the teen in for questioning, while IDF sappers detonated the bombs in a controlled explosion.
Palestinians have repeatedly tried smuggling weapons and explosives through the Hawara checkpoint.
In June, an 18 year old was caught with six pipe bombs, a cartridge of bullets and a bag of gunpowder.
Less than a month ago, officers at the checkpoint shot and killed a 20-year-old Palestinian transporting three explosive devices.
