GAZA STRIP - Just days after the Israeli navy denied a Libyan vessel free passage to the Gaza Strip, more trips are being planned by Arab groups claiming that they want to bring aid to Gaza.
A group from Qatar plans to send a boat, and the Islamic Movement announced similar plans.
Israel has allowed three boats from the 'Free Gaza' movement to dock, but last week turned back a ship from Libya.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor said Israel will continue to deal with the boats on a case-by-case basis.
Palmor pointed out that Qatar has diplomatic interactions with Israel, while Libya does not. "Maybe the Qataris will make contact with us," Palmor said.
Meanwhile three Qatari newspapers quoted the executive director of Qatar Charity, Abdallah Naema, saying they had not asked Israeli permission and expected to be turned back.
In a separate incident, Islamic Movement spokesman Zahi Nujeidat promised that dozens of Israeli Arabs plan to set sail for Gaza from the port city of Jaffa.
