CBNNNews.com - In an interview with the Reuters news agency in Austin, Texas, Palestinian Authority (PA) Prime Minister Salam Fayyad said a final peace accord with Israel is unlikely in 2008.
"I do not believe that the final resolution will be completed in the course of this year," Israel Radio quoted Fayyad.
Fayyad blamed Israel for the stalled peace process, citing "settlement" expansion in Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria (the West Bank), Israel Defense Forces (IDF) counter-terror operations there as the primary stumbling blocks to the peace process.
According to Fayyad, the IDF operations undermine the ability of PA security forces to enforce the law.
Meanwhile, PA forces participated in terror attacks on Israelis, including the murders of a 29-year-old motorist in November and two off-duty reservists out hiking in January.
