CBNNews.com - A Palestinian terrorist stabbed a border policeman Saturday night during a routine patrol in the Atarot industrial zone in northern Jerusalem.
When the policeman tried speaking with a man walking in the area, he pulled open the door of the jeep and stabbed the driver in the neck and back.
The Palestinian then tried to stab a policewoman in the back seat. During the struggle, the patrol's commander got out of the truck and managed to shoot the attacker in the legs.
Both the injured border patrolman and the Palestinian attacker were evacuated to the hospital.
Just two days earlier, another border policeman, Corporal Rami Zoari, 20, was shot to death by a Palestinian terrorist near the Arab neighborhood of Shuafat in northern Jerusalem.
Friends and family arrived at his family's home in Beersheba on Shabbat (Saturday) to console one another over his loss.
"Rami was crazy about the Border Police," his father, Shlomo, said. "He planned to take a squad commander course and then [attend] officer's training school," he said.
Zoari was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Beersheba Friday.
