Border Guard, Soldier Injured by Stones

Ad Feedback - One hundred and fifty Palestinians, joined by left-wing activists, entered a closed Israel Defense Forces (IDF) military zone to hurl stones at soldiers during an anti-fence protest.

A Border Guard officer and a soldier were evacuated to a Jerusalem hospital for treatment.

The protest took place near the Arab village of Naalin, west of Ramallah, which has often been the scene of demonstrations that have turned violent.

Left-wing activists from abroad and other like-minded locals join forces frequency to demonstrate.

Naalin residents claim the IDF plans to take 1,800 acres of property that belongs to the village, which they say spread over nearly 12,000 acres when Israel first became a state.

Two weeks ago, 10 demonstrators, including five Israelis, were injured, when 400 protesters clashed with security forces.

According to IDF officials, the demonstrators have wreaked nearly $145,000 worth of damage to the security fence.
