CBNNew.com - LOD, Israel - The Shin Bet (General Security Agency) lifted a gag order Monday on a kidnapping/murder plot by Arabs from the Israeli city of Lod, near Tel Aviv.
In a joint operation with Israel Police, the Shin Bet arrested three Israeli Arabs, who admitted to planning to kidnap an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) solider, videotape and then murder him to use his remains to barter for the release of Palestinian prisoners.
According to the indictment, Amir Nafar, 20, Ayman Kadura, 26, and Yassin Hinawi, 19, met for the first time last December in Lod's al-Omari Mosque to begin planning the attack.
Nafar, who studied sharia law (Islamic religious law) at a university in Jordan, initiated the plan.
On Monday, the Petah Tikva District Court indicted Nafar and Kadura on charges of aiding the enemy in wartime and criminal conspiracy. The court charged Hinawi, who was less involved in planning the attack, with aiding and abetting his friends.
The indictment states that all three men are active members of a terror organization called the Islamic Movement, led by Sheikh Ra'ad Salah.
