CBNNews.com - JERUSALEM, Israel - The Shin Bet (General Security Agency) arrested a 17-year-old resident of the village of Abu Tor, who confessed to preparing for a suicide bombing in Jerusalem.
Though arrested three weeks ago, the details were not released for publication until late last week.
During interrogation, the teenager confessed that her motivation for contacting the Islamic Jihad terror group was her hatred of Jews.
After her initial contact with Islamic Jihad several months ago, she went through a series of tests to make sure she wasn't a secret agent for Israeli security services.
Once the terrorists were sure of her sincerity, they sent her to Mecca to speed the recruitment process and formulate details for a suicide bombing in Jerusalem.
The teenager told the Shin Bet that her family knew nothing of her intentions to become a shahid.
While details of the planned attack have not been released due to the ongoing investigation of several other suspects, Israeli intelligence said plans for the bombing has been proceeding.
