Zawahiri: Attack Israelis and Americans

CBNNews.com - An audiotaped message by Ayman al-Zawahiri, al-Qaeda's second in command, called on Muslims to attack Israelis and Americans in response to the Israel Defense Forces' (IDF) counter-terror operations in the Gaza Strip.

"O Muslims. Today is your day. Strike the interests of Jews and Americans and all those who participated in aggression against Muslims," al-Zawahiri said. "No one can say today that we should fight the Jews in Palestine [sic] only," he said.

"Monitor the targets, collect the money, prepare the hardware, plan accurately and then attack," he said.

"We must concentrate on the armed struggle," said al-Zawahiri. "Let them understand that they will bleed for every dollar they spend to kill Muslims," he said.

Al-Zawahiri accused Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Egypt of being "being part of a satanic pact," siding with Israel in its operations in the Gaza Strip.

"This satanic alliance shows us its ugliness and baseness, an alliance of the crusaders and the Jews and with them [Egyptian President Hosni] Mubarak and [Saudi Arabia's ruling] Saud family, and the son of al-Hussein [Jordan's King Abdullah]," he said.

"They allowed Israel to carry out aerial raids in the Gaza Strip on a regular basis and swore to bring an end to rocket fire on Israel," he said.

"They cannot insult our prophet and support Israel and then expect to live in peace in the countries," referring to Denmark's reprinting of cartoons of Mohammad.
