CBNNews.com - ASHKELON, Israel - Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak cut short his visit with US President George Bush to survey the damage from a Grad-type Katytusha missile, which struck the Ashkelon mall.
"You guys need to bite your lips," Barak said as he toured the site, "but not for [long]," he said.
"The incident is not simple, and it proves that despite the hits the Palestinians are sustaining in Gaza, they're still shooting," Barak said.
"If the rocket had hit a roof, I would have been going to a funeral," the defense minister said.
Fifteen people were injured in the attack, four seriously, and nearly 90 people were treated for shock.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) responded with an air strike against a Hamas observation post. According to Palestinians sources, two Hamas men were killed.
