CBNNews.com - GAZA STRIP - Hamas continues instructing its youngsters to set their sites on taking Israeli cities "to defeat the enemies of Allah."
Broadcast May 2 on the Hamas satellite network, al-Aqsa television, the children's program was part of the group's coverage of Israel's 60th Independence Day.
On the same day Israelis celebrate the nation's anniversary, Arabs observe al-Nakba, the "disaster," their take on the birth of the modern State of Israel.
The Middle East Research Institute (MEMRI) translated excerpts from the program.
The puppet show features two birds, Kuku and Fufu, who call all Israeli cities "settlements," promising one day they will "return to our land" if Muslims will unite and adhere to the Koran "to defeat the enemies of Allah."
"We will persevere, Allah willing, and we will return to our land, Allah willing. We will return to Jaffa, Acre [Akko], Lod, Ramle, Ashdod. We will return to all these cities, Allah willing," Kuku tells his friend, Fufu.
"Where are you from?" Fufu asks.
"I am from Tel al-Rabi'a, which they [Israelis] have named Tel Aviv. Allah is our support. I say that we must return to our homes and to our lands, God [sic] willing," says Kuku.
Later in the show, Kuku promises that Arabs from "Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Iraq and America" will flood Israel and "will come to their country with their heads held high."
"The years have made it clear to us that we must return to our lands [Israel], Allah willing, and that we must defeat the enemies of Allah [Israeli Jews]," Kuku says.
When will the Arabs return, Fufu asks his friend.
"We will return to our land when we unite, when we adhere to our faith and to the Koran," Kuku responds.
"Okay, Kuku. Put your hand in mine so we can unite and return victoriously to our country tomorrow, Allah willing, to Haifa, Jaffa and Akko. My hand is now in yours, Kuku. Let's unite and return to our country tomorrow as victors," Fufu says.
The Israeli daily Haaretz points out that Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah-controlled PA television broadcasts the identical ideology.
Fatah-controlled television programs speak of the Arab identity of Israel cities, which Palestinians will eventually liberate from the Jews, a far cry from the "two states for two peoples" vision.
